Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
  • 1 pound ground turkey (93% lean)
  • 1/2 cup onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 8 ounce can tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 8 small flour tortillas

Instructions 

  • Mix chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, paprika, cumin, sugar, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  • Heat oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
  • Add turkey and cook 1-2 minutes, then add onion and cook until turkey is cooked through and onion is soft, about 5-6 minutes.
  • Stir in spice mixture, tomato sauce, and water; simmer until thickened, 5-6 minutes.
  • Fill tortillas with turkey mixture and toppings; serve immediately.

Notes

Use fresh toppings for best flavor.
