Instructions
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Prepare the pastry by mixing margarine, flour, and sugar, then roll out and line a tart tin.
Mix golden syrup, lemon zest, breadcumbs, cream, salt, and beaten egg to make the filling.
Pour the filling into the prepared pastry case.
Bake for 30 minutes until golden and set.
Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Using fresh breadcumbs enhances the texture of the filling.
