Ingredients

Biscuit Crust

  • 200 g Ginger Nut Biscuits (or other ginger biscuits)
  • 110 g Butter (Unsalted, Melted)

Apple Filling

  • 3 pieces Braeburn Apples (or other tart apple)
  • 15 g Caster Sugar (or superfine sugar)
  • 1.5 tsp Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 150 ml Dulce de Leche (or caramel sauce)

Instructions

  • Make the biscuit crust by blitzing biscuits into crumbs, mixing with melted butter, then pressing into a tart tin. Chill for 30-60 minutes.
  • Prepare the apple filling by slicing apples thinly, coating with cinnamon, and setting aside.
  • Spread 100ml of Dulce de Leche over the chilled crust, then layer apple slices in a circle, filling the center with more slices. Pour over melted butter, sugar, and lemon juice.
  • Preheat oven to 180°C. Bake the tart for 20 minutes, then add remaining Dulce de Leche and bake for another 10 minutes. Cool before serving.

Notes
