Ingredients

Protein

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for cooking)
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce (key flavoring)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon ginger (minced)
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

Vegetables

  • 1 head butter lettuce (or iceberg lettuce)
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup diced cucumber
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions
  • to taste sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions 

  • Cook chicken with garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and teriyaki sauce until cooked through.
  • Shred the cooked chicken into small pieces.
  • Separate lettuce leaves and fill with chicken, carrots, cucumber, and green onions.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds and serve.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in teriyaki sauce for 30 minutes before cooking.
