Ingredients

Fruits and Sugar

  • 4 cups fresh berries (blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, etc)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (or granulated sugar)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup cold unsalted butter (cut into small cubes)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Butter a 10-inch skillet or 9x9 dish.
  • Mix berries, sugar, flour, cornstarch, and salt; spread evenly in the skillet.
  • Combine flour, oats, sugars, salt, cinnamon, and cold butter until crumbly.
  • Sprinkle topping over berries and press lightly.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden and bubbling. Serve warm.

Notes

Serve with vanilla ice cream for extra indulgence.
