Ingredients

Marinade

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 lemon lemon (juiced)
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp dried dill
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt

Shrimp

  • 1/2 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined, tails removed)

Pitas

  • 2 pitas

Vegetables

  • to taste Cucumber (sliced)
  • to taste Tomato (sliced)
  • to taste Red onion (sliced)

Tzatziki Sauce

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cucumber grated cucumber
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 lemon lemon (juiced)
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill weed (chopped) (or 1 tsp dried dill weed)

Instructions 

  • Whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, oregano, dill, garlic, and salt to make marinade.
  • Toss shrimp in marinade, cover, and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  • Preheat grill or grill pan. Grill shrimp 3-4 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  • Cut pitas in half, spread tzatziki inside, and fill with vegetables and grilled shrimp.
  • Top with crumbled feta and serve.

Notes

Marinate shrimp for better flavor and ensure even grilling.
