A quick and flavorful stir-fry combining ground beef with a savory teriyaki sauce, served over rice or cauliflower rice for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 pound Ground Beef or ground turkey (for a leaner twist)

Vegetables

  • 2 cups Broccoli Florets (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 medium Carrots (julienned)

Aromatics

  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger (grated)

Sauce & Seasonings

  • 0.5 cup Soy Sauce (tamari for gluten-free)
  • 0.25 cup Brown Sugar or honey (for a natural alternative)
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil (use sparingly)
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch (mixed with water to prevent clumps)
  • 0.25 cup Water

Base

  • 4 cups Cooked White Rice or cauliflower rice (for serving)
  • 2 tablespoons Green Onions (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds (optional but recommended)

Instructions 

  • Cook the rice or cauliflower rice according to package instructions and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, cook ground beef until browned; add garlic, ginger, and vegetables, and stir-fry for 5 minutes.
  • Mix soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and water; pour into the skillet.
  • Stir in cornstarch mixture and cook until sauce thickens, about 2 minutes.
  • Serve over rice or cauliflower rice, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a splash of rice vinegar or a sprinkle of red pepper flakes.
