300ggranulated sugar(for sweetness)

240gsour cream(14-18% fat, room temperature)

Buttercream
400gbutter(unsalted, softened)
660gpowdered sugar(sifted for smoothness)
2teaspoonsvanilla extract(for flavor)
2-3tablespoonssalted caramel(homemade or store-bought)
Instructions
Combine sugar and water, heat until golden caramel forms, then add butter and cream, stirring until smooth. Cool and refrigerate.
Preheat oven to 170°C (340°F), prepare three 20cm pans, and sift dry ingredients.
Mix butter and sugar, add eggs, then alternate dry ingredients and sour cream with vanilla. Divide batter into pans and bake 19-22 minutes.
Cool cakes, prepare buttercream by beating butter, then gradually add powdered sugar, vanilla, and caramel. Assemble layers with buttercream and caramel, then chill and finish frosting.
