Ingredients

Dry ingredients

  • 1 cup whole-grain pastry flour
  • cup protein powder (vanilla) (no-sugar-added whey recommended)
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • pinch salt
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon

Wet ingredients

  • ¼ cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 cup Sunsweet Amaz!n Prunes, pureed (15 prunes)
  • 1 tbsp canola oil
  • 1 egg egg
  • cup milk (plant-based or dairy)
  • cup powdered erythritol sugar substitute
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2-3 tbsp milk (for glaze)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease donut pan.
  • Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Blend wet ingredients and prunes until smooth.
  • Combine wet and dry, adding milk if needed for desired batter consistency.
  • Pipe batter into donut pan and bake for 13-15 minutes. Cool before glazing.
  • Mix powdered erythritol with cinnamon, add milk to make glaze. Dip donuts and let set.
