A simple and naturally sweet pear tart made with wholesome ingredients and minimal added sugar.

Ingredients

Dough

  • 3 tbsp Salted butter (measured solid, then melted; substitute ghee or coconut oil)
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 2 cups Wholesome Yum Blanched Almond Flour
  • 1 large Egg (whisked; or ~2 tbsp additional butter, ghee, or coconut oil)

Filling

  • 2 large Anjou pears (cored and sliced thinly, 16 slices per pear)
  • 2 tbsp Salted butter (melted)
  • 1/4 cup Wholesome Yum Zero Sugar Cinnamon Honey
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup Sliced almonds (optional)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare the crust by mixing almond flour, melted butter, honey, vanilla, and egg until combined. Press into a tart pan.
  • Mix melted butter, cinnamon honey, lemon juice, and vanilla for the filling. Spread over the prepared crust.
  • Arrange sliced pears on top of the filling in a circular pattern. Sprinkle with sliced almonds if desired.
  • Bake for 25 minutes until golden. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Use ripe pears for the best flavor and sweetness.
