Instructions
Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter.
Slice bread into 20 1-inch pieces, arrange in dish, and set aside.
Whisk eggs, cream, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until blended.
Pour mixture over bread, ensuring all slices are soaked, then chill overnight.
Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix butter, brown sugar, pecans, corn syrup, cinnamon, and nutmeg for topping. Spread over bread.
Bake for 40 minutes until golden. Serve with maple syrup.
Notes
For best results, prepare the night before and bake fresh in the morning.
