Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1.5 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions 

  • Pat chicken dry and season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken 4-5 minutes per side until golden.
  • Add lemon zest and lemon juice; cook 4-5 minutes until cooked through.
  • Remove chicken, let rest 2 minutes, then garnish with parsley if desired.
