  • 4 pieces boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5–2 lb total)
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • Zest and juice of 1 lemon lemon (zest and juice)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Instructions 

  • Pat chicken dry and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  • Add chicken and sear 5–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
  • Reduce heat, add butter and minced garlic; spoon over chicken for 1 minute.
  • Stir in lemon zest and juice, cook 30 seconds, then sprinkle parsley and serve.
