A quick and flavorful pasta dish featuring tender chicken, zesty lemon, and aromatic garlic in a buttery sauce.

Ingredients

Pasta

  • 8 ounces fettuccine or spaghetti

Chicken

  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Dairy & Fats

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter

Garlic

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

Lemon

  • 1 piece lemon, juiced and zested

Broth & Seasonings

  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Fresh herbs

  • Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions 

  • Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente; reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.
  • Season chicken with salt and pepper. Cook in 2 tablespoons butter over medium heat for 6-7 minutes per side until golden. Rest and slice.
  • Melt remaining butter in the same skillet, add garlic, and sauté until fragrant. Stir in lemon juice and zest.
  • Add chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Toss in cooked pasta, adding reserved pasta water as needed to coat.
  • Mix in sliced chicken, garnish with parsley, and serve.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese before serving.
