Korean Style Ground Beef Spinach Rice Bowls

Enjoy a flavorful and easy Korean-inspired rice bowl with seasoned ground beef, sautéed spinach, and a perfectly fried egg on top.

Ingredients

Cooked Rice

  • 2-3 cups cooked rice (any kind, leftover or freshly cooked)

Oils

  • 1 tsp canola oil
  • 0.5-2 tsp sesame oil (for cooking and flavor)

Garlic

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Fresh Spinach

  • 5 oz oz fresh baby spinach
  • 0.5-2 tsp crushed red pepper

Ground Beef

  • 1 lb lb ground beef

Sauces and Spices

  • 2 Tbsp Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Tbsp brown sugar
  • 0.5-2 tsp ginger
  • 2 Tbsp Tbsp Gochujang or chili garlic sauce

Eggs

  • 4 large eggs

Green Onions

  • 4 green onions, chopped

Instructions 

  • Cook rice if not using leftovers.
  • Heat canola and sesame oils in a skillet, sauté garlic briefly, then add spinach and red pepper; cook until wilted. Remove and set aside.
  • Brown ground beef in the same skillet, then add soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, sesame oil, and Gochujang; simmer briefly.
  • Fry eggs sunny side up in canola oil. Divide rice into bowls, top with beef, spinach, eggs, and green onions.
  • Serve with additional Gochujang or chili sauce if desired.

Notes

Adjust spice levels to taste and serve immediately for best flavor.
