Ingredients

Protein

  • 1 pound uncooked shrimp (peeled and deveined) (tails on or off)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (or garlic herb butter or sesame oil)

Seasoning

  • salt and pepper salt and pepper
  • 3 tablespoons hot honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (see notes for gluten-free option)
  • 1 clove garlic (minced or ¼ tsp garlic powder)
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice (from ½ lime)

Garnish & Serve

  • Chopped scallions chopped scallions (for garnish)

Instructions 

  • Season the shrimp lightly with salt and pepper.
  • Mix hot honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and lime juice to make the sauce.
  • Heat oil in a skillet, sear shrimp for 1 minute, then add sauce and cook until fully done.
  • Remove shrimp, simmer sauce if desired, then pour over shrimp and garnish with scallions.

Notes

Adjust hot honey for more sweetness or spice as desired.
