A quick and flavorful skillet dish combining tender steak, fragrant garlic, sweet honey, and savory rice for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 lb steak, cut into strips

Grains

  • 1 cup uncooked rice

Broth

  • 2 cups beef broth

Sweeteners

  • 1/4 cup honey

Aromatics

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

Sauces & Condiments

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

Dairy

  • 1 tablespoon butter

Seasonings

  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions 

  • Season steak with salt and pepper; sear for 3-4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  • Melt butter in the same skillet, sauté garlic for 1 minute.
  • Add honey, soy sauce, and bring to a simmer.
  • Stir in rice, add beef broth, bring to boil, then simmer covered for 15 minutes.
  • Return steak to skillet, stir gently, cook 2-3 minutes. Garnish and serve.

Notes

Use fresh parsley for garnish if desired.
