Ingredients

For the shrimp

  • 1 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined (medium or large)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 0.5 tsp ground cumin
  • 0.5 tsp smoked paprika
  • 0.25 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.25 tsp onion powder
  • 0.25 tsp kosher salt (more to taste)
  • 0.125 tsp black pepper
  • Zest of 1 lime + 1 tbsp lime juice lime zest and juice

For the slaw

  • 2 cups shredded cabbage (green, purple, or a mix)
  • 0.25 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 0.25 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 small jalapeño (seeded and finely chopped (optional))
  • 1.5 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp honey or agave (optional)
  • Pinch salt

For the creamy sauce

  • 0.33 cup Greek yogurt or light mayo (2% or 5%)
  • 1–2 tsp adobo sauce from canned chipotles (or 1/4 tsp chipotle powder)
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • Pinch salt

For serving

  • 12–16 large leaves romaine, butter, or iceberg lettuce
  • Diced avocado or guacamole (optional)
  • Fresh wedges lime

Instructions 

  • Pat shrimp dry, toss with oil, spices, lime zest, and juice; marinate 10 mins.
  • Combine cabbage, onion, cilantro, jalapeño, lime juice, honey, and salt to make slaw.
  • Mix Greek yogurt, adobo sauce, lime juice, and salt for the sauce.
  • Cook shrimp in a hot skillet 1-2 mins per side until pink; remove from heat.
  • Separate and dry lettuce leaves; layer with slaw, shrimp, sauce, and optional avocado.
  • Squeeze lime over wraps and serve immediately.
