Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 lb ground beef (for that hearty, savory base)
  • 12 oz linguine (perfect pasta to soak up the sauce)
  • 4 tbsp butter (adds richness and helps build garlic butter flavor)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (to brown the beef beautifully)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced, star of the sauce)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (blend of herbs that bring warmth)
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder (to boost the garlic flavor)
  • 0.25 tsp red pepper flakes (just a touch of heat)
  • 1.25 cups heavy cream (makes the sauce rich and velvety)
  • 2 tbsp beef broth (adds depth and balances creaminess)
  • 1.5 cups Parmesan cheese (freshly grated, sharp and nutty)
  • 0.25 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded, for extra gooey texture)
  • to taste salt and black pepper
  • 0.25 cup reserved pasta water (magic ingredient to help sauce cling to pasta)
  • for garnish fresh parsley, chopped (for a fresh pop of color and flavor)
  • extra grated Parmesan (to sprinkle on top)
  • few sprigs fresh thyme (for aromatic garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook linguine in salted boiling water until al dente; reserve ¼ cup pasta water, then drain.
  • Brown ground beef in olive oil with seasonings; transfer to a plate and set aside.
  • Melt butter in the same skillet, cook garlic briefly, then add heavy cream and beef broth; simmer until thickened.
  • Stir in Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses until smooth; loosen sauce with reserved pasta water if needed.
  • Add cooked linguine to the sauce, toss to coat, then serve topped with beef, Parmesan, parsley, and thyme.
