A quick and flavorful skillet dish combining ground turkey and asparagus with garlic and lemon for a healthy, satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 lb ground turkey

Vegetables

  • 1 lb asparagus, ends trimmed and chopped into 1-inch pieces

Oils & Fats

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter

Seasonings & Condiments

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

Fresh herbs

  • as needed Fresh parsley, chopped

Garnish

  • for garnish Lemon slices

Seasoning

  • to taste Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

Instructions 

  • Add half of the olive oil to a large skillet over medium heat. Cook asparagus until barely tender, then add lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Remove to a plate.
  • Add butter and remaining oil to the skillet, cook turkey until no longer pink, then add garlic, onion powder, salt, and pepper; cook until fragrant.
  • Stir in Worcestershire sauce and water; cook until liquid reduces, about 2 minutes. Push turkey to one side, add asparagus to the other, spoon sauce over asparagus.
  • Top with parsley, serve with lemon slices. Enjoy!

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or your favorite herbs.
