A quick and flavorful skillet dish combining ground turkey and asparagus in a garlic butter sauce, perfect for a healthy weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 lb ground turkey

Vegetables

  • 1 lb asparagus (ends trimmed and chopped into 1-inch pieces)

Oils & Fats

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (1/2 stick)

Flavorings & Seasonings

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

Other

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (as needed)
  • Lemon slices (for garnish)
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper (to taste)

Instructions 

  • Add half of the olive oil to a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add asparagus, cook until barely tender, then add lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Remove to a plate.
  • Add butter and remaining oil, cook turkey until no longer pink, then add garlic, onion powder, salt, and pepper; cook until fragrant.
  • Push turkey to one side, add asparagus to the other, spoon sauce over asparagus, garnish with parsley, and serve with lemon slices.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lemon before serving.
