A simple and delicious homemade trail mix with a sweet maple glaze, perfect for snacking or on-the-go energy boosts.

Ingredients

Nuts and Seeds

  • 1 cup cup raw almonds
  • 1 cup cup pecan halves
  • ½ cup cup pumpkin seeds (pepitas)
  • ½ cup cup sunflower seeds
  • 2 tablespoons ml maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon ml coconut oil or olive oil
  • ½ cup cup shredded unsweetened coconut
  • ½ cup cup dried cranberries or cherries
  • ½ teaspoon ml cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ml salt
  • ¼ cup cup dark chocolate chips (optional) (add after baking)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Mix almonds, pecans, seeds, and coconut in a large bowl.
  • Whisk maple syrup, oil, cinnamon, and salt in a small bowl, then pour over the nut mixture and toss to coat evenly.
  • Spread the mixture on the prepared baking sheet and roast for 18-22 minutes, rotating halfway through.
  • Cool completely, then fold in dried fruit and chocolate chips if using. Store in an airtight container.

Store in a sealed container for up to two weeks for maximum freshness.
