Ingredients

Meat

  • 1.5 lbs boneless (skinless chicken thighs)

Seasonings & Liquids

  • 3 tbsp fresh lime juice (about 2 limes)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 0.5 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

Tortillas & Toppings

  • 8-12 small corn tortillas corn tortillas (street taco-style)
  • 0.5 cup white onion (finely chopped)
  • 0.5 cup fresh cilantro (chopped)

For Serving

  • Lime wedges (for serving)
  • cotija cheese, avocado slices, salsa verde, pickled red onions (optional toppings)

Instructions 

  • Marinate chicken with lime juice, garlic, cumin, chili powder, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  • Cook chicken in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked, about 8-10 minutes.
  • Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave.
  • Slice cooked chicken and assemble tacos with onions, cilantro, and optional toppings. Serve with lime wedges.
