A quick and flavorful appetizer featuring shrimp spread on toasted bread, baked to perfection and topped with fresh basil.
Ingredients
Shrimp

oz
shrimp, peeled and deveined
(I use raw shrimps)

tablespoons
mayonnaise
3
tablespoons
butter, melted
1.5
teaspoons
grated garlic
1.5
tablespoons
thinly sliced scallions
(about 2 stalks)
black pepper
baguette or ciabatta
(see notes)
basil, thinly sliced
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Chop or process shrimp into small pieces; mix with mayonnaise, melted butter, garlic, scallions, and black pepper.
Slice bread into pieces no thicker than 1 inch and spread shrimp mixture on the cut side.
Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden and crispy.
Top with basil and serve immediately.
Notes
Use fresh basil for the best flavor.
