Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Core and slice the apples, then toss with lemon juice and place in a baking dish.
Mix cinnamon, sugar, cornstarch, and salt; melt butter and vanilla, then pour over apples.
Sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mixture over apples and stir to coat.
Cover with foil and bake for 35 minutes, then remove foil and bake 10 more minutes.
Notes
For extra flavor, serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
