Ingredients

Fruits

  • 6-7 pieces Apples (preferably tart varieties)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter (melted)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon corn starch

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Core and slice the apples, then toss with lemon juice and place in a baking dish.
  • Mix cinnamon, sugar, cornstarch, and salt; melt butter and vanilla, then pour over apples.
  • Sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mixture over apples and stir to coat.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 35 minutes, then remove foil and bake 10 more minutes.

Notes

For extra flavor, serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
