A deliciously crispy beef dish coated in sweet chili sauce, perfect for a quick and flavorful meal.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 lb sirloin steak
  • 1 egg egg
  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • ½ yellow onion yellow onion
  • ½ green bell pepper green bell pepper
  • ½ red bell pepper red bell pepper
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (for marinade)
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste (for marinade)
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic (for marinade)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil (for marinade)
  • ½ teaspoon sugar (for marinade)
  • ¼ teaspoon white pepper (for marinade)

Sauce

  • 3 tablespoons Sweet Chilli Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions 

  • Slice beef thinly and marinate with soy sauce, ginger, garlic, sesame oil, sugar, and white pepper for 15 mins.
  • Add egg to marinated beef and mix well.
  • Coat beef with cornstarch, ensuring separation.
  • Fry beef in 350°F (180°C) oil until crispy, then drain on paper towels.
  • Sauté onions and peppers, then add fried beef and sauce. Stir-fry for 1-2 mins and serve hot.

Notes

Serve with rice or noodles for a complete meal.
