fettuccine or pasta of choice
Chicken

boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Seasonings

unsalted butter
Vegetables

mushrooms, sliced

garlic, minced

chicken broth

heavy cream

grated Parmesan cheese

dried thyme

chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
Cook pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
Sauté chicken in 1 tbsp olive oil until cooked through; remove and set aside.
In the same pan, add remaining oil and butter, then sauté garlic and mushrooms until tender.
Add chicken broth, heavy cream, Parmesan, thyme, and cooked chicken; simmer until sauce thickens.
Combine cooked pasta with the sauce, garnish with parsley if desired, and serve.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lemon or a sprinkle of red pepper flakes.
