A rich and flavorful dish featuring tender chicken breasts in a creamy mushroom sauce, perfect for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

Protein

  • 2 large chicken breasts (halved and dredged in flour)
  • Salt & pepper (to taste) Salt & pepper
  • Flour (for dredging) Flour

Cooking Fats

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Mushrooms

  • 12 ounces mushrooms (cremini or white, sliced)
  • 1/4 teaspoon teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)

Broth & Condiments

  • 1/2 cup ml chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup ml Cream (heavy/whipping cream)

Instructions 

  • Season chicken with salt & pepper, dredge in flour, then cook in oil until golden. Remove and set aside.
  • Add butter, cook mushrooms with Italian seasoning until browned. Remove and set aside.
  • Sauté garlic, add broth, lemon juice, and mustard; simmer until reduced by half.
  • Stir in cream, add chicken and mushrooms; cook until heated through and sauce thickens.

Notes

For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
