A quick and flavorful tuna salad with fresh lemon and herbs, perfect for a light lunch or snack.

Ingredients

Canned Tuna

  • 10 oz tuna (drained)
  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 0.5 cup finely chopped celery
  • 0.25 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.25 cup chopped cucumbers (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped almonds or walnuts (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped chives (optional)

Instructions 

  • Drain and flake the tuna in a bowl.
  • Chop celery and red onion; add to the tuna.
  • Mix mayonnaise, lemon juice, lemon zest, mustard, salt, and pepper to make the dressing.
  • Pour dressing over tuna mixture; stir gently to combine.
  • Fold in cucumbers, nuts, and chives if using; refrigerate for 15-30 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, let the salad chill before serving.
