A rich and comforting skillet dish featuring tender beef, sautéed mushrooms, and a creamy garlic sauce, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
Meat

beef chuck or sirloin, cut into 1-inch cubes

olive oil

butter

cremini mushrooms, sliced

yellow onion, finely chopped

cloves
garlic, minced

dried thyme

all-purpose flour
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

beef broth

heavy cream

Worcestershire sauce
Garnish
to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
Pat beef dry, season with salt and pepper.
Sear beef in a hot skillet until browned, then set aside.
Sauté mushrooms and onions, add garlic and thyme.
Sprinkle flour, cook briefly, then add beef broth, simmer to thicken.
Stir in cream and Worcestershire, return beef, simmer until tender.
Garnish with parsley before serving.
Notes
For a thicker sauce, simmer longer or add a bit more flour.
