A rich and comforting skillet dish featuring tender beef, sautéed mushrooms, and a creamy garlic sauce, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
Meat

beef chuck or sirloin, cut into 1-inch cubes

olive oil

butter

cremini mushrooms, sliced

yellow onion, finely chopped

garlic, minced

dried thyme

all-purpose flour
to taste
Salt and freshly ground black pepper

beef broth

heavy cream

Worcestershire sauce
for garnish
Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
Pat beef dry, season with salt and pepper.
Sear beef in a hot skillet until browned, then set aside.
Sauté mushrooms and onions, then add garlic and thyme.
Sprinkle flour, add broth, and simmer until thickened.
Stir in cream and Worcestershire, return beef, and cook until tender.
Garnish with parsley and serve.
Notes
For a thicker sauce, simmer a bit longer before adding cream.
