8ozSemi-sweet chocolate(Chopped)
1cupHeavy cream(Heat until steaming)
2tbspButter(Unsalted)
1tbspCorn syrup(Optional, for shine)
1 pinchSalt(Optional, enhances flavor)

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two 8-inch round pans, line with parchment, and dust with cocoa powder.
Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl. Beat eggs, add buttermilk, oil, vanilla, and mayonnaise; mix until smooth. Gradually combine with dry, then add hot coffee and mix until thin batter forms.
Divide batter into pans, bake for 25-30 minutes. Cool 10 minutes in pans, then transfer to wire racks to cool fully.
Cook strawberries, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and salt over medium heat until thickened. Cool.
Heat cream until steaming, pour over chopped chocolate, let sit 1 minute, then stir until smooth. Add butter, corn syrup, and salt.
Level cake layers, spread strawberry filling between, pour ganache over top, and decorate with strawberries and chocolate. Rest for 20 minutes or freeze 15 minutes for clean slices.
