Ingredients

Dough

  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter (plus more for greasing)
  • 4 ounces bittersweet chocolate (chopped)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • Pinch salt

Optional toppings

  • to taste powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Butter and flour ramekins.
  • Melt butter and chocolate until smooth; let cool slightly.
  • Whisk eggs, yolks, and sugar until pale. Fold in melted chocolate, then flour and salt.
  • Divide batter into ramekins and bake for 12-14 minutes.
  • Invert onto plates, serve immediately with optional toppings.

Notes
