Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 pound ground beef 85 15 blend (works best)
  • 0.5 medium yellow onion (diced fine)
  • 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or cooking oil
  • 0.5 cup water
  • 1 head butter lettuce (about 8-10 large leaves)

Instructions 

  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add diced onion and cook 2 minutes until softened.
  • Add ground beef, cook 5-6 minutes until browned, then drain excess fat.
  • Sprinkle taco seasoning over beef, stir to coat, then add water and simmer 2-3 minutes until thickened.
  • Wash and dry lettuce leaves while beef finishes cooking.
  • Serve beef in lettuce leaves for wraps, allowing each person to assemble.
